Australia is tracking record high numbers and this data can help to predict what’s in store for the UK this winter.
The report argues that the sharp increase in cases was probably driven by relaxation of measures put in place to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic and the low proportion of the population vaccinated against influenza. In addition, it says there has been little natural influenza infection for the past two years.
It’s clear a strategy needs to be put in place – not just by individuals but by employers.

Menopause in the Workplace
With around 13million women in the UK currently peri- or post-menopausal, it’s vital for employers to have a workplace menopause support strategy in place.
Research shows that 81% of working women have experienced a negative impact on their working habits due to menopause. Therefore, employers need to look after workers and foster a workplace environment where women feel comfortable to ask for help when they need it.
